**long post ahead sry** ⬇️ At this time last year I was mentally defeated and unmotivated overall with CrossFit and constantly questioned why I chose to work out so much when I barely did any competitions or had much fun with it. And about a year ago today I dropped into @crossfitgrandview and never looked back. I had only been at one gym before and it was all I knew so I had no idea what to expect, but this gym exceeded all of my expectations. From literally the first class I did coaches @joey_toto and @tyrannosaurusek invested their time in me and coached up this random girl who dropped into the L2 class. Them and all the members at the gym reminded me what is was like to have fun and enjoy training at the same time! Having like-minded people who push you to be better is I think a key to success in whatever it is. I think one of the biggest lessons I have learned in college is being confident and realizing when to step away from situations where you know in your heart that you deserve better and do not line up with what your goals are. This past year I have learned so much about myself and done more comps than I ever before. Most importantly had to most fun doing them with friends!🏋️‍♀️ Now, in a month I’m heading to the Netherlands to compete with my team for a spot at the @crossfitgames. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this coming year, but I know it’ll be the best one yet 😈
